Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. seeks a compassionate Dietary Assistant to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by preparing nutritious meals within dietary guidelines. The role emphasizes safe food handling and person-centered service.

You will follow menus, assist with feeding, and perform daily tasks in a caring, compliant environment. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required; prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with all necessary endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Minimum one year of experience working in the food service industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves nutritious meals according to individual's diet and textures requirements, while following established dietary guidelines and regulatory procedures.
• Completes daily tasks following all safe food handling and food preparation guidelines regarding thawing, timing, cooking, holding, labeling, and storage.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
