Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member to prepare meals for residents, guests and staff using daily planners and standard recipes. You will work the food line during mealtimes and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.

Respond quickly to resident and guest needs while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor with residents, visitors, and co-workers. Previous production cooking experience is preferred; English communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Clear and effective communication in English is required.
• Basic computer skills; Excel and Word proficiency required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to solve practical problems in variable situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using the daily planner and standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
• Ensure food safety and kitchen sanitation guidelines are followed.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest needs and requests.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors and co-workers.
