Job summary

Newnan Health & Rehab is seeking a dedicated Kitchen/Dietary Aide to prepare meals per dietician menus in a health care setting. You will operate commercial kitchen equipment, maintain sanitation, manage stock, and assist with special diets and meal service to residents.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to work at a steady pace to ensure meals are ready on time. Benefits include PTO, holidays, Vision, 401(k) with match, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.

Responsibilities

• Prepares various foods according to menu created by dieticians for each meal.
• Operates kitchen equipment such as mixer, meat slicer, oven, steamer.
• Cleans work areas and stores unused foods after shifts.
• Produces meals in large quantities using institutional cookware.
• Ensures meals are ready and served on time per menu and dietary orders.
• Follows infection control policies and maintains clean equipment and surfaces.
• Puts up stock and checks temperatures of freezers/refrigerators.
