Job summary

Viva Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join the Dietary department. You will prepare and serve meals, ensure adherence to menu standards and nutritional programs, and maintain high safety and quality of food in a resident-focused setting.

You will work with the Food Service Director and dietary staff, ensuring compassionate service, timely meal delivery, and compliance with health guidelines. A high school diploma or GED and good English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work well with peers in a congenial environment and care for residents with compassion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve menu items according to department policies and procedures.
• Ensure presentation of all menu items adheres to established standards.
• Prepare meals on menus and according to nutritional programs.
• Maintain food quality and safety per standards and regulations.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Arrive to work on time and perform other related duties as required.
