Job summary

Civita Care Center at Newington is seeking a friendly Cook to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our residents. You will help create enjoyable dining experiences and contribute to their overall well-being in a compassionate, team‑oriented environment.

Your duties include assisting with meal preparation, maintaining clean dining areas, receiving and storing food, and upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop, and stretch.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Ability to follow instructions and stay calm during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation to ensure nutritious and attractive presentation.
• Maintain clean, inviting dining areas for residents.
• Receive and store food supplies with proper inventory management.
• Keep work areas clean and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash dishes, pans, and utensils as needed.
• Engage with residents, family members, staff, and the community.
