Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a Cook to join our Dining Services team. You will prepare meals from scratch, assist with menu items, and help maintain inventory in a compassionate, resident-focused community.

Requirements include a High School education or equivalent, at least one year cooking experience, and ServSafe certification or plan to obtain it within 3 months. Reliable transportation and basic math skills are also expected.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• One year cooking experience.
• One year experience in Nursing Home/Hospital type setting as a cook preferred.
• ServSafe required or paid training to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, i.e. weights, temperatures, fractions, measurements, etc.
• Able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications.
