Job summary

MDH Network in Whittier, CA is seeking a Community Support Specialist for day shift to help adults with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. You will coordinate services, conduct intake assessments, schedule activities, and communicate with participants, families and partner agencies.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, and a bachelor's degree in psychology or related field or 4 years of relevant experience. A valid California driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, behavioral science or related discipline or 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for participants.
• Conduct intake assessments and interview prospective individuals and families.
• Organize schedules and appointments and maintain open communications with Individuals, families and agencies.
• Advocate for Individuals in court proceedings and build community partnerships.
