Job summary

Atlanta Mission in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Community Living Assistant to help create a safe, supportive living environment for residents. This part-time role includes a 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12am and requires de-escalation, strong communication, and teamwork across supervision, orientation, documentation, medication administration, and relationship-building within a Christ-centered ministry.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to de-escalate conflicts and respond to crises.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multitasking.
• High energy with the ability to engage and motivate others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in residential/community living programs.
• Training in trauma-informed care or working with vulnerable populations.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clients to maintain safety and enforce house rules.
• Observe interactions and provide visible support in key areas.
• Conduct room checks, inspections, and identify contraband per policy.
• Respond promptly to incidents and escalate as needed.
• Orient new clients to guidelines and facility layout.
• Serve as point of contact for daily client needs and emergencies.
• Document daily activities and incidents in Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate concerns via Salesforce notes.
• Administer medication per policy and record consumption in logs.
• Build rapport with clients to foster a calm, supportive environment.
• Demonstrate conflict-resolution skills to maintain safety.
