Job summary

Sevita, REM Community Services in the United States, seeks compassionate caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings. You will join a mission-driven team focused on helping people live well and grow.

You will build real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve and gain ownership and trust from leaders to do what’s right for participants.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and support individuals with complex needs.
• Build real, meaningful relationships with participants.
• Encourage participation in community activities and goals.
• Support budgeting, exercise, and nutrition as part of goals.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure participant wellbeing.
