Job summary

Bond Health in Queens, NY is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN. You will assist with personal care, daily activities, and ensuring a clean, safe living environment.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, feeding, and monitoring resident status, while reporting needs to the charge nurse and DNS. Prior CNA experience in acute or long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Physically able to perform the duties of a CNA.
• Experience as a Nursing Assistant in acute or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists with bed bath, tub bath, whirlpool and showers.
• Provides personal grooming and care (hair, nails, shaving, mouth care).
• Prepares laundry for pick-up and return.
• Checks resident's skin for care, rash, discoloration or edema.
• Feeding and assisting with feeding as needed.
• Maintains a calm, pleasant environment.
• Engages in cluster feeding while seated.
• Monitors daily intake and informs nurses.
• Records food intake on Nutrition Work Sheet.
• Beds are made and linen/diaper usage is proper.
• Disposes of linen properly and secures call bells.
• Monitors safety and reports repair or safety needs.
