Job summary

Central Queens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, and support the clinical team.

The position requires NY CNA certification, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training in SigmaCare is a plus, with emphasis on safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and valid NY CNA certification.
• Experience in caregiving or patient care settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with SigmaCare EHR is a plus.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently when needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including meals and mobility.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nurses.
• Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Document care in SigmaCare and other records.
• Transport residents within the facility and assist staff as needed.
• Support continuity of care through effective communication with families and healthcare team.
• Participate in training and continuing education.
