Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant is required upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Protects healthcare organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
• Cleans equipment between each patient use.
• Signs/initials documentation.
• Assists registered nurse and/or physicians with exams and procedures.
• Assists with orientation of new employees as assigned.
• Prepares chart for Medical Records upon discharge.
• Performs all duties in a professional and timely manner.
• Documents patient/resident care by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Takes and records vital signs and weight.
• Answers the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
