Job summary

Catalina Care Center LLC in San Pedro, California is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our skilled nursing team. You will report to the Charge Nurse and provide resident care, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and document care according to facility policy.

Qualifications

• Certified by the State of California as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Desire to care for elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the assigned station and charge nurse at the start of each shift.
• Performs CNA duties per scope of practice; requests assistance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Provides resident care with safe techniques and upholds residents’ rights.
• Communicates changes in resident condition to the charge nurse promptly.
• Responds to call lights and assists other CNAs to cover assignments.
• Maintains charting and documentation according to facility policy.
• Attends mandatory meetings and maintains CPR status.
