Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time day shift in our Skilled Nursing Unit. You will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment under nursing supervision.

The successful candidate will hold Florida CNA certification, have good communication and teamwork skills, and demonstrate reliability and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Current Florida CNA certification is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or hospital setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, compassionate care to residents under nursing staff.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and ADLs.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient information as assigned.
• Assist with repositioning, transfers, ambulation and safety.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable patient environment.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nurse.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide respectful care.
