Job summary

Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Skilled Nursing Unit on a full-time day shift. The CNA will deliver direct patient care, assist residents with daily living activities, and help promote comfort, safety, and well-being.

The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-focused, and can work well in a healthcare team. Florida CNA certification is required, with prior experience in SNF, LTC, or hospital settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Florida CNA certification is required.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or hospital settings preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, compassionate care to residents under nursing staff.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
• Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information as assigned.
• Assist with repositioning, transfers, ambulation, and maintaining patient safety.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond appropriately to resident needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nurse.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care and other duties within the CNA scope of practice.
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, infection-control standards, and safety guidelines.
• Provide respectful and compassionate care while maintaining patient confidentiality.
