Job summary

Turenne & Associates in Dothan, AL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility. The CNA will support residents with daily activities, monitor wellbeing, and help ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

Under supervision of RNs or LPNs, the role requires compassion, teamwork, and adherence to facility policies, including weekends and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Completed a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program and certification as a CNA.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers using proper lifting and positioning techniques.
• Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
• Assist nursing staff with procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and collection of specimens, following infection control protocols.
• Assist residents with ADLs and encourage independence while providing support.
• Build rapport and provide emotional support to residents.
