Job summary

Qualifications

• Completing a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program and certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility and transfers with proper lifting techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormal findings promptly to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and condition changes.
• Assist with wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection following infection control protocols.
• Assist with ADLs and encourage independence where possible.
• Provide emotional support and foster a supportive environment for residents.
• Ensure safety through infection control, fall prevention, and emergency procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities to aid physical and mental well-being.
• Adhere to facility policies, privacy laws, and regulatory guidelines.
