Job summary

Southern California Hospitals is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff and directly care for patients. You will measure vital signs, assist with hygiene, and help maintain a safe, clean unit environment, while supporting with basic clerical tasks as needed.

The role requires CA CNA certification, AHA CPR/BLS, and strong English communication. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible full-time applicants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Demonstrated prior patient care experience required.
• Certification as a Nurse Assistant (CNA) in the state of CA required.
• AHA Basic Life Support required.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measures and records patient weights and vital signs.
• Assists with patient hygiene, elimination, and privacy.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment and inventories patient belongings.
• Assists with stocking unit supplies and operating hospital equipment as directed.
