Job summary

Los Angeles Community Hospitals is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. You will document vital signs, assist with hygiene and daily activities, and help maintain a safe, clean unit environment.

Essential duties include accurate documentation, patient comfort, and collaboration with the care team. This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated prior patient care experience.
• CA CNA certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must read/write and communicate effectively in English.
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Fire and Life Safety Card for LA City Employees (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• REPORTING AND DOCUMENTATION OF CARE: measure and record patient weights and vital signs; report changes in condition; document activities.
• PATIENT COMFORT AND PRIVACY: assist with hygiene, elimination, ADLs, maintain privacy and infection control.
• COLLABORATION FOR PATIENT CARE: assist with licensed nurse duties including sample collection, turning/positioning, and transport.
• COMMUNICATION: demonstrate caring behaviors and independent judgement in daily tasks.
