Job summary

Hamden Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents according to their care plans and supervisor directions.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant/Geriatric Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
• Must be able to work harmoniously with residents and staff.
• Must have the ability to lift and move safely, including 25 pounds and 50 feet as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care and services per resident care plans and as directed by supervisors.
• Follow duties delegated by supervisors and engage in assigned tasks within the nursing service area.
• Communicate effectively with nursing personnel and other departments.
• Attend continuing education programs and participate in safety trainings.
