Job summary

West-Haven-Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The CNA will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support residents with empathy and professionalism.

Requirements include active CNA certification, a high school diploma, and ability to read, write, and speak English. The role requires good physical health to lift and move patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification with a CNA program completed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift/move patients or stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents under supervision of licensed/registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation, outings).
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Ensure patient safety by lifting and transferring individuals as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for patient care.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient service.
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Other duties as assigned.
