Job summary

Chico Terrace Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine nursing care under supervision. You will perform resident rounds, assist with activities of daily living, and report changes to the nursing team.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a CNA program or licensed, with strong English communication and a compassionate approach to elderly residents. Adherence to safety policies and cooperation with staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical exposure during certification class.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, supervise by nursing staff, and ensure resident safety.
• Make rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals and report discrepancies.
• Assist with activities of daily living, meals, hygiene, and dressing.
• Record intake, output, and report changes to the Charge Nurse.
