Job summary

Sandstone Post Acute in Bryan, OH is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caregiving team. You will provide routine nursing care to residents, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, supportive environment.

With a focus on dignity and individualized care, you will collaborate with licensed nurses to implement care plans and ensure residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel and possess patience, tact, and emotional stability

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing care to residents, including vital signs checks, bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and transferring residents
• Make resident rounds to administer quality nursing care and address any concerns
• Verify resident identification to ensure accurate care and report any missing ID bands to the admission coordinator
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, including making beds, cleaning bedside tables, and restocking water pitchers
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Demonstrate a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm, and possess a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
