Job summary

Madera Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care per the resident's assessment plan in a California facility. The role emphasizes kindness, dignity, and respect, with clear communication to residents, families, staff, and agencies.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams and report to the Nurse Supervisor as needed. Responsibilities include helping residents with meals, grooming, mobility, and transfers, while maintaining privacy and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Ability to use computer or tablet to enter resident data.
• Some experience helpful; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answering call lights.
• Ensure privacy during nursing care.
• Make residents comfortable (help with bed, water, etc.).
• Assist in feeding residents (cutting food, spoon feeding).
• Help residents with grooming, shower or sponge bath.
• Proper lifting and transferring from wheelchair to bed and chair.
• Assist residents to sit, stand and walk.
• Transport residents to dining area for meals/activities and back to room.
• Timely reporting of changes to a Nurse Supervisor.
• Protect residents' files and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Follow facility policies including safeguarding user IDs and passwords.
• Follow Infection and Control policies.
• Report occupational exposures to supervisor immediately.
• Other duties as assigned.
