Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion CNA training from accredited school.
• Valid CNA certificate number or license.
• Some experience helpful; training will be provided.
• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Answering call lights.
• Ensure all nursing care is provided in privacy.
• Making residents comfortable (bed, water, etc.).
• Assisting in feeding residents (cutting food, spoon-feeding).
• Helping with daily grooming, showers or sponge baths.
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair.
• Helping residents sit, stand and walk.
• Transporting residents to dining area and back.
• Timely reporting of changes to the Nurse Supervisor.
• Protecting resident files and data per HIPAA; confidentiality.
• Following facility policies and infection control procedures.
• Reporting occupational exposures to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
