Job summary

Traditions of Lafayette in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/HHA) for 2nd shift to provide direct care to residents per individualized care plans. This on-site, full-time role supports ADLs, mobility, meals, and daily activities.

The position emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, effective communication with residents and team, and adherence to safety, infection control, and privacy procedures.

Qualifications

• Must complete a state-approved CNA program and hold current certification.
• Experience in senior care preferred.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents according to individualized plan of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Encourage resident independence and social interaction.
• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and homelike environment.
• Support residents during meals, including setup, assistance, and social engagement.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and privacy procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
