Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality daily living support for residents at Moon Township, PA. You will assist with activities of daily living, respond to emergencies, and help with meals and mobility, while following policies and care plans.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an approved PCA program. A flexible schedule including weekends/holidays is expected, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 60 days.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assist residents to meals and activities and ensure attendance.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming information to the team.
• Provide move-in assistance and emotional support to new residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
