Job summary

San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation is hiring a dedicated Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant for the PM shift (2:30 PM - 10:30 PM) in Bakersfield, CA. The role provides routine daily nursing care to residents in a 99-bed skilled facility, with emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care and adherence to HIPAA.

The CNA will assist with bathing, feeding, measurements, and documentation while collaborating with licensed nurses in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA license in California.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum 10th grade education; skilled nursing facility exp. preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility needs.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Answer call lights promptly and document care.
• Assist with meals and document intake.
• Report changes to Charge Nurse and maintain documentation.
• Follow HIPAA and infection control policies.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
