Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Florida is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily personal care and support to residents under supervision. You will assist with bathing, mobility, meals, and documentation while upholding residents' dignity and confidentiality.

The role requires a valid CNA certification, ability to work weekends/overtime, and adherence to health regulations. Mandatory inservices and orientation for new CNAs are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of high school education or ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Must be certified in the state or have completed CNA training and obtain certification within 4 months.
• Must be able to maintain regular attendance and work weekends/overtime as required.
• Must meet local health regulations and pass any required exams.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents including bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, and grooming.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and documenting intake.
• Record vital signs and monitor condition changes for Supervisor notification.
• Maintain residents' dignity, rights, and confidentiality.
• Attend mandatory inservices and assist with orientation of new CNAs.
• Document information daily in the electronic health record.
• Assist with admissions and discharges and maintain a clean, safe environment.
