Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) degree from an accredited institution.
• North Carolina CNA Certification with no substantiated reports on the state registry.
• Certified in CPR by either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous, professional, and efficient customer service by responding to the needs of clients/residents, families, consulting providers, third party insurers, vendors, and others in person or on the telephone.
• Provides personal care to clients/residents according to the care plan, including bathing, back rubs, oral hygiene, hair washing, changing bed linens, laundry, assisting with feeding, ambulation, dressing, toileting, and documenting care.
• Documents care delivered in the electronic health record for each resident and patient.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals (Home Care only).
• Protects residents' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information and following HIPAA procedures.
• Triages client/resident requests/needs by consulting with the Nurse Supervisor or Physician.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety standards and regulations.
• Supports the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Follows Salemtowne policies and HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
