Job summary

Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI is seeking a Nursing Assistant to perform patient care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will help with personal hygiene, routine treatments, and maintaining a safe, clean patient environment.

This role requires vocational/technical training and at least six months of related experience, plus Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license. You will maintain patient records, report changes to the RN, and participate in ongoing in-service training.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical training and 6+ months job-related experience or equivalent.
• RI State Nursing Assistant license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care and performs routine treatments and procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient’s comfort and well-being.
• Check and record intake and output as ordered.
• Take and record patient’s vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
• Assist in caring for seriously ill patients or in complicated treatments or procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment with well-stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
• Maintain patient’s medical records in an orderly manner and document all care provided and significant information, legibly and completely.
• Observe assigned patients and report any changes to RN/Team Leader.
• Maintain current knowledge of specialty by attending seminars and in-services.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
