Job summary

Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI is seeking a compassionate nursing assistant to support patient care under supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient comfort, and help maintain safety and cleanliness on the unit.

Requires Vocational/Technical training and more than six months related experience; RI Nursing Assistant license preferred. You will record intake/output, take vital signs, assist with hygiene, and report changes to the RN promptly.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical training or equivalent required.
• RI Nursing Assistant license preferred.
• Experience in patient care settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide general patient care and routine treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient comfort and well-being.
• Check and record intake and output as ordered.
• Take and record patient’s vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment with stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
• Maintain patient medical records in an orderly, accurate manner.
• Observe assigned patients and report changes to RN/Team Leader.
• Attend seminars/in-services to stay current with specialty knowledge.
