Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant with Alabama certification required upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross within 30 days required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs including bathing, grooming, oral care, toileting and feeding.
• Provide mobility support with repositioning, transfers and ambulation.
• Obtain and document vital signs per protocol.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RN promptly.
• Document care in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient room cleanliness and equipment, stock supplies.
• Adhere to infection control standards and safety protocols.
