Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist with the nursing care of patients under licensed staff supervision. The role includes comfort services, ADLs, and monitoring patient condition with timely reporting to RNs.

Responsibilities involve ambulation, transfers, room turnover, and accurate documentation. Requires Oregon CNA certification and BLS within 90 days if not already held. Six months of SNF or hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon CNA Certification required upon hire
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred upon hire, and required within 90 days of hire
• If not American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certified upon hire, must have current BLS certification through another provider
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and HIPAA confidentiality
• Proficiency with basic office software (Microsoft Office) and scheduling tools

Responsibilities

• Assists with nursing care of patients including vital sign collection, specimen collection, intake/output measurement, and ADLs.
• Transports and moves patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Maintains a clean, organized patient environment and restocks supplies.
• Assists with patient admission or discharge and documents care and observations in the medical record.
