Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide nursing care under supervision, support ADLs, monitor patients, and assist with admissions/discharges. The role emphasizes compassion and teamwork within a patient-centered environment.

Eligible candidates must hold an Oregon CNA certification and have at least six months of relevant experience; a BLS credential is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days if not already held.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in skilled nursing facility or hospital.
• Current Oregon CNA Certification required upon hire.
• BLS preferred upon hire and required within 90 days of hire; if not certified, must have current BLS through another provider.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and basic medical terminology; familiarity with hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists with nursing care, vital signs, specimen collection, ADLs, and reports changes to the RN.
• Transports and moves patients using proper body mechanics.
• Maintains a clean, organized patient environment and room turnover.
• Assists with patient admissions or discharges and documents care in the medical record.
