Job summary

Avamere Hillsboro is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with each resident's assessment and care plan. The role emphasizes compassionate caregiving, safety, and collaboration with the nursing team.

The position requires active Oregon CNA licensure, CPR/BLS, and a passion for improving residents' quality of life. On-site placement with opportunities for growth and ongoing education are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Oregon.
• CPR/BLS certification maintained during employment.
• Genuine passion for caregiving and improving residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Check residents' personal care needs and ensure they are met according to each resident's wishes.
• Review resident care plans daily to determine changes in daily care routines.
• Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident's condition for entry into the care plan.
• Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activities, social programs, and transportation to appointments.
• Create and uphold a warm, patient, enthusiastic environment that is calm and cheerful.
• Ensure residents' rooms are prepared and that residents feel comfortable.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
• Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and administrator.
