Job summary

The Meadows on University is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care and services per the resident's care plan and supervision directions. You will identify residents, document accurately, and maintain confidentiality while assisting with daily activities and transfers.

Primary duties include safety, reporting changes in resident condition, and supporting a calm, warm environment for residents across shifts. CPR preferred and state CNA license required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed CNA in accordance with state laws.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments or meals, using wristbands or photo IDs.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets, notes and charts.
• Report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident health information.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Greet residents and escort them to their rooms and introduce them to others.
• Follow policies for exposure to blood and body fluids and use only trained equipment.
• Assist with transfers, admissions, and preparing residents for medical tests.
