Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient care team. You will work under direct supervision of a nurse to provide for care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients, follow infection prevention techniques, and assist with activities of daily living.

Requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent, active Maryland CNA registration, and Heart Saver CPR certification.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification (Heart Saver).
• Active Maryland CNA registration with the State Board of Nursing Examiners.
• Minimum 6 months of direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides for care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of nurse.
• Uses proper infection prevention techniques.
• Performs and records delegated nursing care procedures.
• Observes patients and reports changes in condition to nursing personnel.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
• Transfers/transport medications and helps with feeding as required.
• Responds promptly to patient call lights and communicates needs to staff.
