Job summary

Bethesda Dilworth is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care support, assist with activities of daily living, and document care per unit guidelines. You will respond to resident needs, monitor vital signs, and help with admissions, safety, and mobility in a respectful, team-oriented setting.

The role requires standing and walking for long periods, ability to lift patients, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification (state specific)
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within six months
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment with proper technique
• Accurate documentation in patient records and reporting to Charge Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by Charge Nurse.
• Complete admission tasks: height, weight, vital signs, and resident orientation; ensure ID arm band and admission kit.
• Respond to call lights promptly and address resident needs; perform rounds as assigned.
• Turn and reposition residents every 2 hours; seated residents hourly.
• Apply required assistive devices per physician or therapy orders; monitor I&O sheets and report to Charge Nurse.
• Assist with procedures and treatments as instructed by Charge Nurse (e.g., sitz bath, moist packs).
• Maintain supplies and equipment and communicate needs; handle confidential information discreetly.
• Provide end-of-shift handoff and report to Charge Nurse; may take on additional duties as assigned.
