Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan – Woodland (a Sanford Health facility) provides resident-centered nursing care during a day shift (6:00am–9:00am) in Brainerd, MN, with 15 hours bi-weekly and rotating weekends. In addition to routine care, there are weekend and evening shift incentives to reward flexibility.

Certification as a CNA in Minnesota is required or must be achieved within four months of starting. The role emphasizes infection control, resident dignity, and teamwork with RNs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Must be CNA certified in Minnesota, or the ability to become certified within four months.
• CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with daily living activities and basic health care.
• Assists residents with transfers, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
• Assists residents with meals and hydration, and provides nutrition support.
• Documents resident interactions and vital signs as needed.
• Communicates changes in condition to the charge nurse.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services to support residents.
• Encourages participation in wellness and recreational programs.
