Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in East Haven, CT is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents in a warm, home-like environment. This full-time evening shift runs Tuesday through Saturday from 11pm to 7am.

The CNA role includes helping residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, documenting care, reporting health changes, and engaging residents in meaningful activities while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care
• Other duties as needed
