Job summary
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Designated Nursing Assistant / Certified Nursing Assistant (DNA/CNA) to provide direct, hands-on care in our skilled nursing community. You will work with residents on clinical, personal, nutritional, and restorative needs, following individualized care plans and collaborating with licensed nurses.
The role requires CNA certification, a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification per state regulations.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Skilled nursing or senior care experience preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and peak service times.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care based on Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
- Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, mobility, dining, and toileting.
- Obtain and report vital signs, intake, and changes in condition.
- Partner with licensed nurses on restorative and care planning programs.
- Support fall prevention, skin care, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and restorative records.
- Respond promptly to resident, family, and visitor concerns.
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety guidelines at all times.
