Job summary

You will assist nurses with basic care activities, monitor vital signs, and help patients maintain dignity, privacy, and independence in their own homes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Certification as CNA or Home Health Care Aide per state licensure.
• Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of recent experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by performing basic care activities for personal care and comfort.
• Dress, groom, bathe, feed, and record vital signs.
• Answer call lights, assist in toileting, oral care, nail care, catheter care, transfers and transports.
• Provide simple or uncomplicated patient care and maintain room cleanliness.
• Record temperature, pulse, and respiration; report changes to nurses.
