Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a hospice aide to provide in-home personal care for patients in West Columbia, SC. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and report changes to the nurse, while following the plan of care and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and body mechanics during care and transfers.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care plans and instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists with prescribed exercises and basic incontinence tests as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
