Job summary

US Skilled Serve is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time, in-person role at our Long Beach, CA location. The CNA provides resident care, monitors conditions, and follows facility policies to ensure safety and quality.

The position requires a current CNA certification, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and at least six months in a skilled nursing setting. Evening shifts and weekends are included as needed, with comprehensive benefits and on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be currently certified as a CNA in accordance with state laws.
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the residents’ age-related needs.
• Must be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork and the team concept.
• Must have the ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs and to bend, kneel or stoop.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts when applicable.
• Report significant changes in the resident’s condition to an LVN/RN as soon as practical.
• Do not disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations to your supervisor.
• Monitor a new resident’s room to ensure it is ready for the resident (bed made, name tag, etc.).
• Assist with transferring residents as necessary.
• Follow work schedules/assignments and cooperate with all facility personnel.
• Create and maintain a warm, personal, and calm environment for residents.
