Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Chicago is seeking a compassionate Nurse Aide (CNA) to support daily patient care under the supervision of RNs. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, and monitoring vital signs, while ensuring safety and comfort.

You’ll document data in the EMR, participate in admissions and transfers, and help with specimen collection and basic nursing tasks as directed. Strong communication and basic computer skills are important, along with adherence to infection prevention

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED/HSED.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock nursing area; transport supplies.
• Ensure patient safety and infection prevention practices.
