Frederick Health is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team in delivering safe, quality patient care. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, data recording, and patient transport, while adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital standards.

The CNA will work under nurse direction, participate in ongoing education, and contribute to a respectful, patient-centered environment across units as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Ability to use technology and equipment to perform job duties.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective use of proper body mechanics when handling patients, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to handle a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and interdisciplinary team in safe delivery of patient care.
• Assist with activities of daily living as delegated by the nurse.
• Record routine data and care provided on appropriate documents.
• Report patient status and progress to the nurse at designated times.
• Floats to other units as assigned and transports patients as needed.
