Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate personal care and support to patients in a clinical setting. The role includes baths, feeding assistance, documentation, and ongoing observation under nurse supervision.

The CNA will monitor vitals, assist with mobility, and respond to emergencies. Compliance with safety, infection control, and DHS/DFS guidelines is required. English proficiency and a high school diploma are essential.

Qualifications

• Provides basic nursing assistance and comfort care.
• Follows care plans and safety protocols.
• Maintains patient records and reports changes to RN.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care: baths, grooming, skin care, and oral hygiene.
• Assists with feeding, nutrition tracking, and intake records.
• Helps with bed mobility, transfers, and positioning patients.
• Maintains intake/output, weight, and vital signs as directed.
• Supports toileting, catheter care, and urine/stool collection.
• Initiates or assists with CPR and emergency response.
• Participates in patient observation and safety measures.
• Reports and documents duties and any PHI according to policy.
