Job summary

Mercyhealth in Janesville, WI seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for the long term care facility on the second shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM). You will assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, grooming, feeding, and daily hygiene under supervision of nursing staff.

The role requires compassionate care, documentation, and adherence to CMS guidelines. The ideal candidate has at least one year of CNA experience, valid state CNA certification, and CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a CNA.
• Current CNA Certification in state of practice.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
• SNF CNA skills and dementia care training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident care as assigned under CMS RAI and facility policies.
• Documents daily care in medical records.
• Assists with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, transfers, ambulation, eating.
• Responds to call lights promptly and ensures resident needs are met.
• Maintains clean, safe, and stocked work and patient areas.
