Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• English reading, writing and comprehension as needed.
• 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel.
• CNA/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Transfer/move clients safely around the home.
• Limit housekeeping to 20% of duties (vacuum, dust, mop, dishes, laundry, bathroom).
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• accompany clients to errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, shaving.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Support ROM exercises and dementia care.
• Offer companionship through reading, music, puzzles.
